1. Who We Are
Nestd ("Nestd", "we", "us", "our") runs an online platform that helps you compare removalists and get quotes for your move. We're not a removalist ourselves. The removalists in our network are independent businesses, responsible for their own services and their own handling of your information once you choose them.
We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
2. What We Collect
- Your contact details, including name, email and phone number.
- Your move details, including pickup and destination addresses, suburbs or postcodes, property type and size, access details, move date, and the items you want moved.
- Property imagery where available, such as a public street-level image of an address shown so you can confirm the property. We only display it to help you and do not keep it beyond that.
- Anything you send us, including messages, enquiries or feedback.
- Technical and usage data, including IP address, browser and device details, pages visited, cookies and analytics data.
We do not generally collect sensitive information, such as health information, so please do not send it unless we specifically ask.
3. Why We Collect It
We use your information to:
- generate quotes and estimates for your move;
- match you with, and pass your details to, the removalist you choose so they can finalise your quote and contact you;
- work out the distance and estimated travel time between your addresses;
- answer your enquiries and provide support;
- run, improve and secure the Service;
- send you service messages and, only if you have agreed, marketing you can opt out of any time; and
- meet our legal obligations.
5. The Removalists' Own Privacy Practices
This Policy covers Nestd's website and service only. Once you choose a removalist and we pass on your details, that removalist handles your information under its own privacy practices, not ours. If that matters to you, ask them for their privacy policy.
7. Information Stored Overseas
Some of our providers, for example mapping, analytics, hosting or email providers, may store or process your information outside Australia, including in places like the United States. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure it is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
8. Keeping Your Information Secure
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, using appropriate technical and organisational measures. No system is ever completely secure, though, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. How Long We Keep It
We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, including to run the Service, meet legal obligations and resolve any disputes. When we no longer need it, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
10. Your Choices And Rights
- Access or correct: ask us for a copy of what we hold, or to fix anything that is wrong.
- Delete: ask us to delete your data by emailing us. We will action it except where the law requires us to keep certain records. If we have already passed your details to a removalist you chose, you may also need to ask them directly.
- Unsubscribe: opt out of marketing any time via the unsubscribe link or by emailing us. This is consistent with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).
We will respond to requests within a reasonable time.
11. Complaints
If you are concerned about how we have handled your information, email us first at support@nestd.com.au and we will try to put it right. If you are not happy with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

We may update this Policy from time to time. The latest version is always on our website, with the Last updated date showing when it last changed.
